What's Cookin?

I made dinner for the apartment tonight along with some other guests, Ben, Adam, Max, Joel, and Colleen. I made some Jambalaya, spicy potatoes, and a sad attempt at snickerdoodles. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food even though it wasn't exactly my best.

I got a little distracted with dinner and forgot about the first batch of cookies, though and they didn't turn out too pretty. And in proper Julie Carver style, managed to burn my thumb while attempting to save the cookies. Otherwise everything went great!! It was nice to have a little taste of home while i'm out at school in Idaho!

I'm going there someday...

Today I went to the Rexburg temple with Brooke Brittan and Whitney. I haven't been in a while and it felt so nice to finally make it there after so long. It's a blessing to have one on campus here. I love it!

The perfect man

Years ago in young womens, our leaders had us come up with lists of what we looked for in our ideal spouses. I got to thinking about it on Sunday, and realized that I hadn't really updated that mental list for quite awhile. So, I got out a pad of paper and a pen and went to work. This is the finished product that is now hanging in my bedroom.

So it's pretty basic knowledge that i'm not exactly the neatest person out there.

...in fact, i'm pretty darn sloppy.

But this semester i'm trying to make a change. It doesn't hurt that my roomie is really neat either. So, i'm trying to break this habit and clean up every once in a while. I never knew how therapudic cleaning your room was!
